James and Ravi first met in the summer of 2011 at an ECHL Career Fair in Las Vegas, where their shared passion for sports and career development sparked an initial connection. Their paths crossed again in 2017 when James launched the Accelerated Sports Career Academy (ASCA), a program designed to help aspiring professionals break into the sports industry. Ravi became one of more than 200 students ASCA successfully placed into professional sports roles.
Over the years, James and Ravi kept in touch, maintaining a mutual respect and friendship. At Ravi’s urging, the two decided to launch Champions for All, an initiative focused on empowering individuals on the autism spectrum to pursue careers in sports.
As someone living on the spectrum himself, Ravi had faced significant challenges breaking into the professional sports world. His experiences fueled a desire to support others navigating similar paths—offering them insight, encouragement, and a clearer path to success. James, a father to a child with special needs, deeply connected with Ravi’s mission. He brings the same care, empathy, and dedication to ensuring that those on the spectrum have equal access to opportunities in sports.
Together, James and Ravi are committed to leveling the playing field—because talent and passion should be what defines success, not circumstance.
